Description

Soft, chewy Fresh Milled Flour Oatmeal Raisin Cookies made with soft white wheat, warm oats, and plump raisins. A cozy, reliable cookie for every homestead kitchen.


Ingredients

  • 270 g fresh milled soft white wheat flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 cup butter, softened

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tsp vanilla

  • 3 cups rolled oats

  • 1 1/2 cups raisins


Instructions

      1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line or spray baking sheets.

      1. Weigh and mill your soft white wheat berries.

      1. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

      1. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.

      1. Add the fresh milled flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix gently.

      1. Fold in the oats and raisins.

      1. Scoop onto baking sheets.

      1. Bake 11-13 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.

      1. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
